J.B. Bergstad includes trucker, firefighter, Guest Relations Department Supervisor for a major television network and thirty years of management and entrepreneurial experience in the field of transportation/logistics among his career pursuits. Retired after three trys, Jim and his wife escaped to Aiken, South Carolina where they built a home and Jim began a serious study of the art of creative writing with special emphasis on genre and literary fiction.

After five years of heaven, Jim’s been dragged, kicking and screaming, back to California where he and his wife have rejoined their three sons and eight grandchildren. Two daughters remain in Florida and have provided an additional four grandchildren who in turn have gifted Jim and his wife with two great-grandchildren. Four additional great-grandchildren reside in Arizona with their families. Jim’s work has appeared in the Jimson Journal, Midwest Literary Magazine, The Quill, Indie Searchlight, Scissors and Spackle, Pedigru Review, The Monarch Review and The Feathered Flounder to name a few.
